Choosing a wedding photographer is such a big decision and we talked to quite a few before making our final choice. What sold me with Kristin is that she used to photograph motorcycle races so I knew she could capture that once in a lifetime shot and also knew how to work with men, which was important to me because my now husband hates getting photos taken. We took our engagement pictures in Helen, GA and that was our first time meeting and working with Kristin. We had such a fun time and Kristin wasn't afraid to literally get in the water for some pictures. (Those ended up being some of our favorites too). Day of the wedding was perfect. Kristin did such a great job of blending in and not being in the way. I had family mention that they didn't even notice the photographer which I thought was great because I've been to weddings where the photographer was blocking the view or always in the background. She was very efficient at getting the family and bridal party pictures done quickly so that we could get to the party. It took about a month to get all our images back which was much faster than I anticipated. We received so many amazing pictures and I teared up looking back through them because it really was like reliving the best day ever. I highly recommend Kristin for an Atlanta area wedding, you will not be disappointed!

Brides & Grooms, Here's the deal: There are so many good photographers out there right? My husband and I poured over websites and photos for hours until we came upon Kristin. We met with her to do an engagement shoot months before the wedding. After the shoot, I was sure I looked awful in every shot. When we received the photos, I could not believe how amazing they were! Not to mention, she was so fun to do the shoot with on a personal level. It was no problem to include our dogs in the photo shoot or to do some unconventional and fun shots. After these photos, my confidence was high, but I could never have imagined how beautiful the wedding photos would ACTUALLY turn out. Every shot was just phenomenal. She even helped me out with some flawless photoshopping when necessary ;). The point is, Kristin Cheatwood is an absolutely tremendous photographer and we are so grateful we hired her for our wedding day. Kristin is a ball of light! Honestly, I wish I knew her before the wedding so I could’ve invited her to be a guest at the wedding! Even though she was pregnant, she didn’t let that phase her energy and positivity. Now that I think about it, I’m not sure who is :-) more that day, me or her! Everyone who has seen her photos absolutely love them. Anyone who met her that day spoke very highly of her. She knew exactly what she was doing when it came down to getting the families together for family photos, and was very communicative with me about who I did and did not want in them :-) now that I think about it, I’m not sure who is :-) more that day, me or her! Here is the TRUTH: Kristen is the most talented photographer you will find! She has a keen eye for capturing special moments perfectly. Every photo tells a story, and she truly knows how to show the special story of her clients. She is a magician with lighting and scenery as well bringing out the best in the subject. Her photos I will treasure forever not only because it was the most important day to me, but because she really captured the little moments between us and our friends and family, our uniqueness, and our love. I cant wait to use her again for more momentous occasions!!

Kristin was amazing to work with. She came to our upstate NY venue all the way from Georgia to capture our wedding. She was also enthusiastically recommended by a friend who had hired her take her wedding photos. She's a very warm and personable photographer, and helped my husband and I relax and have fun taking our photos during a very meaningful day, but #letsbehonest, a very stressful day. She came prepared with ideas, and scouted the site the very first morning she was there to be able to offer us a lot of professional insight, as well as a game plan given our tight schedule. She took stunning photos of both the wedding and the reception dinner/party, as well as our couple and wedding party pics. I couldn't have asked for better wedding photos, and I will always be grateful to Kristin for her exemplary work.

Kristin, of Cheatwood Photography, was the perfect wedding photographer! Our goal was to have elegant, relaxed photographs. She captured those moments and so many more! For only one photographer, we feel that every emotion was captured throughout the day. The most important thing, to us, was that she blended in with our wedding party and guests and was not intrusive or “annoying.” She is professional, friendly, personable and knowledgeable about most Atlanta venues. Although, Kristin had not photographed at Peachtree Christian Church before our wedding, she did her homework, which was unexpected and much appreciated! She spent several hours ahead of time checking the light, meeting with our church coordinator and verifying that she had all of the equipment to meet our requests. ALL of our photos were perfect and we receive SO many compliments on our wedding book and the prints framed in our house. Thank you Kristin!!!
